Hi, I have been trying to figure out how to interact with 3D deformable objects in sofa. I am planing on using either a mouse or a haptic device to control a surgical knife or a tool to interact with deformable tissue. so far my understanding is that we use something called mechanical state controller to control any object inside the simulation .

However I could not find any example on how to do the same with a mouse. My goal ultimately is to use a haptic device but over the VRPN(Virtual Reality Protocol Network).Could you provide some basic info or some working example with the mouse so that i can extend that to the Haptic device using VRPN_Phantom
