BlockedHello everyone,
I am new to SOFA framework, and i had a question. Can sofa framework be used for virtual commissioning of medical simulation? Or is there any kind of work going on in virtual commissioning side? Please guide me.
Thanks

KeymasterDear @arsalan
If by virtual commissioning, you mean perform a simulation of a virtual version of your mechanical system, yes. Could you elaborate a bit more about your expectations?
Best wishes,
Hugo

BlockedDear @hugo
Thank you for your reply. Yes i want to simulate the virtual environment based on physical mechanical system. The physical control system should be connected to the simulation and behave according to the commands of control system. I am trying to simulate a kind of robotic surgery with soft tissues and then connecting it with control system.
Moreover are there any surgery related scenes or model already developed as examples? Thanks and best regards,

KeymasterDear @arsalan
We do not have ready-to-use surgical scenarii. But I am sure we can find a good starting point for you. Which kind of surgery would you be interested in?
We did some years ago an example for visceral surgery here.
Best,
Hugo

BlockedDaer @Hugo,
Unfortunately i cannot access that surgery scenario from your mentioned link. Is there any public repository? Or can you give another way to access that?
Thanks and best regards,

KeymasterHi @arsalan
Sorry about it. Indeed, it’s private, due to mesh data which can not be made open (which is often the reason why such scenes do not go open).
Which kind of surgery would you be interested in?Best,
Hugo

BlockedHello @Hugo,
I actually need a surgery scenario for my university research. So any kind of surgery would be suitable in which tool-tissue interaction could be simulated would be better.
Thanks and Best regards,
